Description :

The Catholic Foundation is looking for a Data Analyst to administer all database operations including devising and implementing data standards, ensuring data quality and collecting and reporting constituency information.


  • Document the structure of business data and analyze and improve structure for optimal use.

  • Serve as lead staff member in charge of database system transitions.
  • Safeguard the integrity of the database environment by developing standards and controls, and reporting discrepancies to staff and management.
  • Develop policies and procedures pertaining to the management, security, maintenance, and use of the database system.
  • Develop training documentation to train staff on database-related policies. Train staff on the use and expected standards of the database system.
  • Consult with employee and donor users to determine database functionality and needs specifications, to establish access, and privileges to database applications.
  • Assist staff in determining the best method of use of the database system, develop database coding, and provide technical support.
  • Design comprehensive data reports and other tools to assist management and staff in making good business decisions.
  • Plan, create, and maintain constituency data, through reports and other information supporting a moves management system for development initiatives, grants administration, and awareness initiatives.
  • Create, implement, and test a disaster recovery plan for database and database applications, including a backup strategy.
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports and performance indicators to locate and correct data and coding problems.
  • Coordinate performance, security, regular maintenance and upgrades between database vendors and TCF. Pre-test and install new versions of database applications.
  • Support responsive grants, endowment distributions, scholarships, and donor advised fund grants through the integration of the database systems.
  • Provide prompt technical support to all employees and constituents of the Foundation.
  • Remain current with the features and functionality of existing database systems. Monitor database technologies for future opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the COO.


  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field of study is preferred.
  • Proven working experience with database design, development and data mining.  Direct experience with FIMS and/or Blackbaud Raisers Edge platforms preferred.
  • Experience in a philanthropic office organization supporting grants and/or development is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment or independently.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • An understanding of Catholic stewardship and philanthropy; ability to serve and assist others; and effectively communicate to all constituents. Must be flexible to adapt to changing needs, multiple assignments, and the ability to maintain all information highly confidential.
  • The ability to apply common sense and carry out detailed written or oral instructions, and foresee outcomes as variables and circumstances change. Able to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • The ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
