Description :

Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, CA is seeking a full-time Theology teacher for theĀ 2018-2019 school year.

This position begins in August 2018.

Marin Catholic is a Roman Catholic, co-ed college prep high school founded on the values of
faith, knowledge and service. The young men and women attending Marin Catholic are
dedicated, accomplished students, willing and able to undertake the challenges of a college
preparatory program and anxious to make their unique contribution to the school community.

Teachers at Marin Catholic High School have the primary responsibility to implement the school
philosophy through instructional competence, through participation in the creation of a school
community, and through their role as a bridge between the individual student and the world
community.

The Theology program at Marin Catholic, in conjunction with Campus Ministry, strives to give
each student a sense of compassion, peace, and connectedness to each other and God while
exhibiting the gospel values taught to us by Christ. While in educating the whole person, we
avail our students of the opportunity for prayer, reflection, fellowship and service during retreats,
sacramental preparation, all-school liturgies and many other faith programs.

Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience according to a Union contract.

Qualifications, credentials, experience, knowledge & skills for the position:
1. Degree in Theology, Religious Studies or related field
2. Catholic high school teaching experience, preferred
3. Practicing Catholic, required
4. Desire to share his/her faith journey
5. Teaching credential, preferred
6. Effectively collaborate with faculty, student and staff
7. Intellectually curious and willing to grow professionally
8. Effectively integrate technology into Theology curriculum
9. Maintain best professional practices in communicating with peers, students and parents
